Tell me a little bit about yourself
I joined banking in 1991 and have been in trade finance since 1992. I joined Bank Al-Habib in Pakistan in 1995 and then moved to Habib Canadian Bank in 2007 and have been heading the trade department for over 10 years.
What is Trade Finance?
To put it simply, Trade Finance is the facilitation of efficient cross boarder related transactions. The products range from Letter of Credits and Collections to invoice financing.

Habib Canadian Bank offers many services to its trade finance customers including invoice financing, handling of import/export letters of credit, and collection documents. We also offer discounting of export LC documents with competitive discounting interest rates.
